Departures

NO TIME TO WASTE

Dating for
people with
a deadline.

LastLegs is for people living with a terminal diagnosis who would still like to be wanted. Everyone here is verified, everyone here knows the score, and nobody here is going to waste the time you have left.

Why bother

Nobody flinches

You will not have to manage anyone's face when you say the word. Everyone here has already had that conversation, from your side of it.

Nobody asks you to be brave

You are not an inspiration. You are a person who would like to be fancied. Those are different jobs and we only do the second one.

Nobody is playing it cool

Three days before replying is a strategy for people with a spare three days. Here it's just rude.

How it works

  1. 01

    Prove you're one of us

A letter, an appointment card, a prescription label. A moderator looks at it, makes a decision, and deletes it in the same sitting. We never keep the document.

  2. 02

    Say what you actually want

Sex. Romance. Someone to sit with. One last stupid adventure. Pick it on your profile so nobody has to spend a week working it out.

  3. 03

    Meet before the weather turns

Match, message, make a plan. Your profile shows whether you're housebound or full throttle, so nobody suggests a hike you can't do.

The ugly bit

People who prey on the dying are a real thing.

Romance scammers target people with terminal diagnoses deliberately, because they are often isolated, often have an estate, and often want to believe someone. We would rather tell you that on the front page than pretend a dating site is a safe room.

  • Every member is verified by a human before they can message anyone.
  • Links and payment handles are stripped out of early messages automatically.
  • New accounts are rate-limited, so nobody can spray a hundred people in a night.
  • Asking for money is its own report category and it gets looked at first.
  • Your diagnosis is encrypted, defaults to matches-only, and is never required.

None of that makes it impossible. If someone you have met here asks you for money, for your bank details, or to keep them a secret from your family, that is the scam. Report them and we will act the same day.
